Moody Bible Adventures (DVD)

Mr. Fixit is a special friend to all the children of the neighborhood. When they bring their questions and troubles to him, he uses his captivating storytelling skills to show them how someone in the Bible handled a similar situation. The whole family will enjoy these old-fashioned “adventures” that were first recorded in the 1950’s. (Formerly on 6 VHS tapes, now on 1 DVD, approximately 150 minutes total playing time.)

Volume 1: King Ahab / The Fiery Furnace
Mike would rather have his friend’s model helicopter than the new bike his parents gave him until he learns from King Ahab’s story that selfishness leads to bad results. Then Jimmy learns how important it is to have courage to stand up for what he knows is right, even if it means others might pick on him.

Volume 2: Baby Moses / Elijah
Jill, ready for summer camp, is disappointed when she has to stay home and care for her brother instead. Then she learns how Miriam’s obedience in caring for Baby Moses saved his life—and a nation. In Elijah, Tom brings an idol to show-and-tell before he learns how God sent fire from heaven to embarrass Baal worshippers.

Volume 3: Daniel / Noah
Freddy and his pals learn from Daniel that it takes courage to do things God’s way. Sometimes it can put you in a tough spot, whether it’s the lion’s den or answering for a broken window. And Bobby learns from Noah that God knows what everybody is doing, and someday everyone has to answer for their actions.

Volume 4: Gideon / Jonah
Jimmy is discouraged because he feels like a nobody. Then he learns how God used the faith of Gideon, who many considered a nobody in his day, to do great things. In Jonah, two boys learn that disobeying their parents is the wrong thing to do. While they think they get away with it, God will know, even if no one else does.

Volume 5: Naaman / Samson
To avoid tackling anything important, little Sherri uses her size as an excuse. Then she learns how Naaman’s servant girl found a cure for his disease when no one else could. On the other hand, Johnny is the fastest and strongest in school. But, as he learns from Samson, that can be a problem, too, if you don’t use your skills for God.

Volume 6: The Red Sea / David & Saul
Two boys learn that God can do things we can’t even comprehend, even though we can’t see Him. Just look at how He parted the Red Sea so the Israelites could walk across! Then Timmy hears about how David reacted when everyone was ganging up on him. Instead of fighting them all, he shows love and lets God take care of the rest.
