What does General Science 101 contain?

Explore God's incredible scientific world with this 4 DVD set, which provides a visually rich and faith-based overview of the various scientific disciplines. Wes Olson presents each of the sciences as separate rooms in a mansion, making it easy for students to follow along and understand the world of science and its relevance to their everyday lives.

The 14 individual segments, each ranging from 22-44 minutes, provide an engaging and fact-filled exploration of scientific concepts. Additionally, a 75-page Guidebook with quizzes covering each segment is included as a printable (digital PDF) on Disc D, allowing students to reinforce their learning and test their knowledge.

Labs

General Science provides your student with over 45 hours of hands-on lab work, allowing them to deepen their understanding of scientific principles and engage with the material on a deeper level. These carefully designed labs complement the concepts covered in the DVDs and provide a fun and engaging learning experience.

Each lab comes with a list of required materials, and the corresponding segment and film instruction time, making it easy to plan and execute. You can find all this information in the Accreditation Program, available as a digital PDF on Disc D or as a spiral-bound booklet that can be purchased separately.

Your Complete High School Level Science Course?

It depends—homeschooling families’ approaches to teaching and learning are far from cookie-cutter in design. For some families, this course— which is very comprehensive in scope—will be enough to provide a thorough grounding in the sciences.

Other families may prefer to use these courses as a starting point, one that provides their student with the correct foundation; an eye and mind-opening overview of the sciences, before beginning textbook study. A Course Accreditation Program, along with the Guidebook (digital PDF), is included for those who want this course to serve as the foundation of a full school year's General Science course. In either case, students will find the course captivating and informative. The 101 series is even more essential!
If your children are in a public or private school, the 101 series will be essential viewing.
